Ted Cruz and his ‘Filibuster’ Fail

Unknown

Ted Cruz’s ‘filibuster’ failed to prevent Obamacare from remaining law, not that it would have mattered anyway.

Cruz isn’t really making much of an argument against Obamacare as much as an argument for direct democracy, or at least a high level of responsiveness to public opinion. “Americans feel like they don’t have a voice,” Cruz said. “I hope to play a small part in providing that voice for them.”

What is so ironic about his statements regarding direct democracy and Americans not having a voice in government, is that  Cruz himself is firmly on the wrong side of public opinion:

AAES-defund-health-care-law

Beyond just that, Cruz opposes raising taxes on the wealthy, opposed gun control, supports cutting Medicare and Social Security while the public will is directly opposed to his position on all of these issues.

Hypocrite Much???
