Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) along with an army of other housing organizations, filed a lawsuit against the state of Florida on May 06, 2024. They have filed a fair housing discriminatory lawsuit against the state law SB 264 at the Miami Federal Court. This law restricts people from seven countries from owning properties in the state.
This is AREAAs first lawsuit since its inception in 2003. It is a national non-profit trade organization with 19,000 members. It facilitates real estate for the Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) community.
